Wildlings Preschool

We would like to warmly welcome you and your child to Wildlings Preschool, where little people are enabled to dream big. We have two preschools: one set within the grounds of Barby CE Primary School, and the other based at the village hall in Braunston. Across both settings, we welcome children from 2 years old through to school age.

Our ambition is to provide environments where children can explore, learn, and develop in spaces that feel safe, nurturing, and full of opportunity for adventure. While each setting has its own unique character, they are united by the same ethos and approach. Whether based within the primary school or at the heart of the Braunston community, we strive to connect children with the outdoors. This means plenty of play, getting muddy, and embracing all that nature has to offer in every season—rain or shine. Our aim is to create happy, warm, and friendly environments where every child feels loved, valued, and respected.

We have carefully designed a curriculum that gives children the very best start in life, supporting them to reach their full potential across both of our settings. We want every child to leave us having achieved our nine Wildlings goals, which are rooted in the seven areas of learning from the EYFS. We deliver this through a balance of adult-guided experiences—thoughtfully planned around each child’s next steps—and rich opportunities for independent exploration. A strong focus on communication and language underpins everything we do, with carefully chosen core books, stories, and songs woven throughout daily life.

Our curriculum is designed to nurture well-rounded, confident individuals who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for lifelong learning and positive participation in the world around them.
